We now will look forward to the 2024 Gridiron Officials Camp (GOC). We remain committed to making the GOC experience one of high quality for all of our attendees .
Grown out of collaborative training and professional development efforts of the Western Washington Football Officials Association (WWFOA) and the South Sound Football Officials Association (SSFOA), the Gridiron Officials Camp (GOC) is now planning its seventh season in 2024 of delivering standards-based instruction and mentoring for High School Football Officials from all parts of the western United States and beyond.
This camp is operated in conjunction with the Tumwater (WA) Summer Team Camp sponsored by Bill Beattie. Tumwater's Gridiron Camps bring together as many as 16 quality High School football programs for two days of instruction, drills, and scrimmages.
Football Officials attending the Gridiron Officials Camp receive individual and crew instruction in the classroom, with a significant number of hours devoted to on-field training and scrimmages. The two camps come together during the scrimmages when the football officials take the field with the players and coaches to hone skills, tune communications, and improve the game of High School Football. Officials attending the GOC typically will have the opportunity to work several scrimmages daily under the watchful eye of a mentor.
